NCBA-PAC CONTINUES TO DEFEND

The 2023-2024 election cycle was one for the history books , and NCBA ’ s Political Action Committee ( NCBA-PAC ) was right there helping to fund the campaigns of friends and allies of the U . S . cattle industry . Due to the generous donations from NCBA members , NCBA-PAC raised more than $ 1.2 million and contributed more than $ 1.1 million to campaigns this election cycle . These funds were spent in the most strategic way possible , with 93 % of the candidates NCBA-PAC supported winning their elections . This is an incredible win percentage , especially since NCBA does not donate to both sides of a campaign , like many other PACs do . Other indecisive PACs will donate to both candidates running in a general election to hedge their bets and create the illusion that they do not pick losers . NCBA will never do this because the number one goal of the NCBA- PAC is to defend the lawmakers who will go to Congress fighting for our industry . Politics is a friend-making business , but those elected officials who take money from radical animal activists are not friends cattle producers want to have . Make no mistake , NCBA members worked hard to be able to donate to the NCBA-PAC and their money will only be used to defend and promote animal agriculture .
During this election cycle , NCBA-PAC made good use of the Washington , D . C ., office to host events with other agriculture groups and trade associations to raise money for members of Congress facing tough elections . These events raised more than a million dollars of additional campaign contributions for these tight races , amplifying a pro-agriculture message , making a major difference in the control of the House and Senate . Just as higher input costs
seen during the Biden administration are a detriment to U . S . cattle producers , campaigns faced the same increased costs that left many lawmakers strapped for cash heading into November . Agriculture PACs were critical in helping many key races to make up budget shortfalls and ensure these agriculture-friendly candidates had enough ammunition to finish strong . Some of the most highprofile races where NCBA-PAC was an early , maxed-out donor resulted in wins such as Reps . Dan Newhouse ( WA ) and Don Bacon ( NE ) as well as Senator-Elects Tim Sheehy ( MT ) and Bernie Moreno ( OH ).
As the 2025-2026 election cycle kicks off , NCBA-PAC will be hard at work educating freshman lawmakers on the issues U . S . cattle producers are facing and striving to meet the new goal of raising $ 1.25 million in the next two years .
