As a young and engaged member of the cattle industry, Ty demonstrates compassion and commitment to bettering not only the beef industry, but all rural communities. Sparked by personal hardship and the example of other leaders, he took initiative to build a better future for farmers and ranchers.
“ A cowboy hat is a symbol, one that is usually seen as tough and strong; the person underneath it has survived hardships and is gritty. It’ s a persona of western cowboy heritage,” Ty explained of the name for the non-profit.“ It’ s like a suit of armor, but when you take it off at the end of your day and everybody else is gone, are you okay underneath?”
It’ s more than simply looking out for those who care for the land and livestock. Ty encourages all of us to take a little more time and consideration to what’ s happening under the hat of ourselves and those we love. References: 1.
